A square Jet Black obsidian base, mirror-polished on its upper face, carries a nickel-plated steel ring — circular, precisely proportioned, and fitted with four cigar rests at even intervals. The contrast between the absolute black of the stone and the cold brightness of the steel is deliberate and unresolved.
